Starcow x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9

Following the launch of their ๐Ÿ’š pair (which is one of my favorite releases this year), we have the ๐Ÿœ๏ธ cw, which is the polar opposite of the previous design & gives you a rugged boot vibe. In hand & on feet, this pair really reminds me of a military boot & the fact that it comes w/ 4 spare laces is pretty nuts lol.

Materials: the base layer of this pair is a tan Cordura mesh that has a somewhat rugged/more sturdy feeling to touch compared to usual mesh (obv). On the mudguard, there's a tan rubber panel that is also found on the S logo, eyelets, & wrapping around the back heel. Continuing around the toe cap, there's a tan suede panel with a darker shade of tan embroidery that adds a nice contrast to the suede. Underneath the S is a TPU panel that continues onto the back heel. Then, wrapping around to the medial side of the shoe, there's some suede hits on the pods, as well as on the S logo, & beneath the S logo too. As for branding, they added a co-branded patch at the top of the tongue in ๐Ÿงก that says 'Saucony & Starcow'. Lastly, on the insole, there's a tiger camo base, with co-branding in ๐Ÿงก (similar to the patch). Overall, when comparing the 2 pairs they dropped, these are the complete opposite but they did it in a way that works pretty well & tbh, I'm pretty excited to put some miles on these bc I think they're gonna age great.

Comfort/Sizing: straight out of the box, the ProGrid Omni 9 has a short break-in period that feels really similar to a 2002r once they are fully broken in and makes a great everyday pair. For sizing, I went tts in this pair and it fits great out of the box. You can go half down if you like a snug fit, but I prefer a little bit of additional room.

Overall Opinion: Im a fan of both of the CWs they designed in the pack. This pair has been fun to wear on rainy days bc I know I have that additional protection w/ cordura fabrics. Whereas the green pair, I prolly would not do that ๐Ÿ˜‚. Out of the 2, the green pair holds that number one spot for me, but both are pretty solid. If you're looking to pick up a pair of these, they're available at some retailers as I write this ๐Ÿซถ
